Vivekananda the man Who Brought Hinduism to America - edited and introduced by Tim Dalgleish This short account of Swami Vivekananda, the Vedantist who brought Hinduism to America, focuses on the years 1893 to 1897. Creating The Life of Paul Dresser In November 1923, Max Ehrmann, the poet and author of the underground classic Desiderata, interviewed Theodore Dreiser, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. For two days they discussed the life of Paul Dresser the composer of On the Banks of the Wabash, one of the best-selling songs of the nineteenth century. When Dresser died in 1906 his fame had faded, he was a penniless alcoholic. Ehrmann was determined to rehabilitate the image and memory of one of America’s finest songwriters. This book explores the background to Ehrmann’s quest, his relationship with Dreiser and the consequences of their meeting in Washington. King of Crime 'More than your average crime film' -Film and TV Now- I was the 'muscle' for eponymous Marcus King played by Mark Wingett (Dead Again, Quodrophenia, The Bill). Released in cinemas in 2018, also featured were Vas Blackwood (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) Claire King (Coronation Street) and Nicholas Brennan from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Finding Fatimah (2017) I had a brief role as Yameen in this 'Funny and heart-warming, hilarious look at the modern British Muslim dating scene' starring Danny Ashok (Four Lions), Nina Wadia (Bend it like Beckham, Eastenders). I also featured in Imagine (2015) a short which recieved 1.6 million hits on youtube and received Special Mention at the Marbella International Film Festival. |
